The Alba Semi Flush is proof that a flush mount doesn't have to be an afterthought. We used it in the entryway of our Contemporary Charm renovation, where the ceiling height ruled out a pendant but the space still needed a fixture with presence — and an entry is exactly where that matters, since it's the first thing you see walking in. The hand-textured piastre glass is what sells it. Lit, the shade breaks light into a warm, mottled glow rather than a flat wash; unlit, it reads as a sculptural bowl. The Old World Bronze frame is a welcome departure from the brass finish we see everywhere right now, and it pairs beautifully with warm woods and deeper, moodier palettes. Available as a 3- or 9-light, it scales from a powder room or hallway to a larger entry or primary bedroom.
